The natural world has always been a part of Courtney's life. Growing up in Virginia Beach she spent a lot of time on the beaches there, and on those of the Outer Banks. She also enjoyed time spent on the Shenandoah River and exploring the peaceful Blue Ridge Mountains. She still does. One can say this set the foundation for her inspiration... Earth.
Courtney centers her work around nature. She hopes to draw awareness to the beauty and importance of our planet, for we only have one. She studied biology at Old Dominion University and currently teaches biology and environmental science in Virginia Beach. She has a daughter whom she loves photographing, while riding horses, that you will see featured throughout her work.
She is currently focusing on nature and wildlife. Contact her if you are interested in her work or if you'd like to special order a canvas of any print for your home or office.
"Land then is not merely soil; it is a fountain of energy flowing through a circuit of soils, plants and animals."
